Second-hand car dealer AAA Auto has announced 300 dismissals from its workforce of 2,000 staff in the Czech Republic due to the COVID-19 crisis. The workforce reduction was initiated in March 2020. AAA Auto is part of AURES Holdings. The group sells 86,000 cars a year and is the largest seller of used cars in Central and Eastern Europe with Czechia its biggest single market. In total the group employs some 3,000 people. Job losses in Slovakia, Hungary and Poland in addition to those reported for Czechia bring the total to 700.
