Description
The food production and meat processing company El Pozo is about to open its new factory in Jabugo (Huelva, Andalucia), investing €150 million and creating more than 200 jobs at the plant and 275 indirect jobs in the region. The new plat opening during the first quarter of 2020 was delayed due to the confinement measure to contain the effects of the Covid-19. It will count with 58,000 square metres and the capacity to produce 2.5 million hams and shoulders per year.
According to El Pozo, this new manufacturing plant in Jabugo has the aim of increasing international exports. Thus, the company has invested in the new facilities for its approval in markets such as the United States or Japan.
