Avery Dennison, an American multinational producer and distributor of pressure sensitive adhesive materials, has announced it will be reducing its workforce at the facility in Soignies by around a third. The company management has stated that the company has suffered significantly due to the Covid-19 crisis with a 40% slump in sales volumes, as both the advertising- and events-sectors have slowed down. 220 workers will lose their jobs in stages by June 2021, including 135 permanent staff.
