European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Københavns Lufthavne, Copenhagen Airport, plans to dismiss 650 employees due to the coronavirus and related travel implications. The crisis has caused much lower business activity at the airport and fewer departures. The airport has received state funded salary compensation since the beginning of the crisis, but the compensation schemes cannot continue and the company has decided to make staff redundant. The restructuring will affect mainly employees in passenger service and security.
In the next three weeks the company will negotiate terms with the relevant trade unions before affected employees get notice of dismissal.
