European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The National Theatre of Great Britain, based in central London, has announced it will cut 400 jobs from 31 August because it cannot afford to pay its employees due to the COVID-19 crisis. The redundancies will affect casual staff: 250 front of house staff and 150 people on the backstage teams.
A spokesperson for the National Theatre said job losses are unavoidable because the National Theatre has been prevented for long-time to 'perform to audiences at usual capacities', and it is unclear when it will become again possible.
