Description
Veletrhy Brno, a business company owning an architecturally significant exhibition complex in Brno-Pisárky, the so-called Brno Exhibition Grounds, will lay off 30 percent of its 250 staff due to COVID-19 crisis. This year, the company will report a loss of hundreds of million Czech crowns, running of cash at the end of the year. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, major trade fairs, such as the International Engineering Fair, were cancelled. It was pointed out, that this unfavourable situation will also affect hundreds to thousands of people in other companies whose business is linked to trade fair events.
