European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The veranda and pergola manufacturer, Akena, has announced the recruitment of 150 employees to support its development. The group, which has 1,050 employees and a turnover of €150 million, is launching a national recruitment campaign. The aim is to hire 40 sales staff and 75 carpenter-operators with a carpentry or building background (with or without experienced) by the end of the year.
The company's growth can be explained in part by the COVID-19 crisis: the group benefited from a very rapid recovery, after the lockdown period, with a peak in the order book of 10% compared with the previous year. This increase can be explained by the need for space to ensure a dedicated space for teleworking in particular.
