European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Capgemini, the French multinational consulting, technology and outsourcing services firm has announced that it will create 300 jobs in Scotland, with 200-250 of these jobs being created in two Highlands locations, Inverness and Nairn, as the company won new significant IT contracts. The majority of the new jobs are IT service desk advisor roles.
The manager of the company’s site in Inverness said that Capgemini was working with Scottish skills and development agencies and added that people who had lost their jobs in the hospitality sector due to the COVID-19 crisis were likely to be interested in the jobs on offer.
Capgemini has operations in more than 50 countries and it employs over 270,000 people, including 120,000 workers in India.
