European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Swappie, a Finnish company selling refurbished iPhones, plans to hire up to 400 employees at its office in Helsinki during 2021.
The company needs to enlarge its staff because its business has grown rapidly and expanded to several new European countries in 2020. Moreover, in May 2020, the company received almost €37 million from investment companies.
Swappie was founded in 2016 as an online store for used smartphones, with the peculiarity that all phones are tested and refurbished before been sold. The company currently employs 400 people and in 2020 it already doubled its workforce by hiring 200 new people.
