European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The children's clothing company Kidiliz Group, formerly Groupe Zannier, has announced that it will close down its activities by the end of 2020. As a result, 2,103 jobs will be cut worldwide, including between 900 and 1,000 positions in France. The activity is being acquired by seven different buyers who will save 497 of 2,600 jobs worldwide.
Groupe Zannier was founded in 1962 and in 2016 it became Kidiliz. In 2018, it was taken over by the Chinese group Zhejiang Semir Garment and was placed in liquidation in September 2020, also due to the drop in activity suffered during the COVID-19 crisis. Kidiliz Group employs about 2,600 people worldwide, including 1,500 in France. The company has a portfolio of 15 brands, including Catimini, Z, Absorba, Chipie and Lili Gaufrette.
