European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
DPD, an international package and courier service, has announced it will invest further in its Belgian branch (among branches of other companies in this sector). In total €10 million will be invested, leading to 400 new jobs to be created in 2021. The continued and prospected further growth of e-commerce, mainly due to COVID-19, is seen as one of the driving factors behind the company expansion, which already expanded significantly in 2020 by opening up four new depots and hiring 500 employees (see 2020 IBM factsheet).
