European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Amazon is to hire 500 permanent staff in its three new offices in Timisoara (Timis County) and Iasi (Iasi County) by the end of 2021. The Timisoara office is planned to open in the second quarter of the year and will focus on developing the Amazon Devices line, which will include the Ring security devices. Timisoara will also develop and launch other innovative products and services.
The new Iasi offices will open by the end of the year and will be added to Amazon’s current campus. They will host the Retail Business Support department which will focus on product optimisation and supporting the sales partners and sales teams.
In 2017, Amazon hired 1,300 permanent staff in its development centres in Bucharest and Iasi, which are Amazon’s first R&D facilities in Eastern Europe. Since 2005, Amazon has invested €100 million in its Iasi centre.
Currently, Amazon Romania employs a total workforce of 2,500.
