European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Romanian subsidiary of French call-service provider Webhelp has announced plans to create 300 new jobs by the end of 2021 out of which 200 are addressed to candidates at the beginning of their career or recent graduates. Half of the new positions are located at the company headquarters in Bucharest and the other half are for offices in Iasi, Galati and Ploiesti. Out of the 300 open positions, 52 are for IT specialists, 30 for specialists in Financial Management and Human Resources and 250 for business process outsourcing specialists. More than a quarter of the vacancies are open for teleworking.
According to the General Manager of the company, Raluca Leonte, ‘Contrary to the trend in our industry, the pandemic has meant new customers, new capabilities and an expanded team for Webhelp.’ Since the beginning of the pandemic and until now, Webhelp has created over 500 new jobs. Over 70% of the company’s employees are teleworking.
Webhelp has been operating in Romania since 2001 and has an employee base of more than 2,000. The company operates four centres in Bucharest, Ploiesti (Prahova County), Galati (Galati County) and Iasi (Iasi County). The hiring process is linked to the expansion of the portfolio of the company and the addition of a new account for an American company specializing in internet services and products, cloud computing, software and hardware and online advertising technologies.
Globally, Webhelp has a workforce of about 75,000 people in 160 operational offices across 50 countries.
