Description
Amyris Bio Products Portugal, a Portuguese subsidisry of Amyris Bio Product of US, will invest around €10 million and create a cosmetics production plant in Portugal. This investment will create between 150 to 200 new jobs.
After the development of a partnership with the Biotechnology School of the Catholic University to study and develop by-products and waste resulting from fermentation process, the group managed to create the first silica in the world from sugar cane ashes and together the entities want to develop a technology hub of international reference. Part of the output will be exported to other European markets.
