European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The airline operator EasyJet has announced the creation of 120 new jobs in Spain. This is a consequence of the company's announcement to bring in four new aircrafts to boost the seasonal bases (for the summer of 2022) of Malaga and Palma de Mallorca in view of the prospects of air traffic recovery. These bases will reach twelve aircrafts (five in Malaga and seven In Palma de Mallorca). With this, EasyJet will have 16 aircrafts, adding the four it has at Barcelona airport. The new employees will work on the service of these four additional aircraft. This announcement comes after the adjustments that EasyJet implemented during 2020 and 2021 in the UK and France.
