European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The British e-commerce retailer The Hut Group (THG) has announced the creation of 400 new jobs at its distribution centre in Magnice, within Wrocław County. The company is looking for experienced warehouse staff and also for candidates without experience in the sector, as THG is to provide special training for new employees. Job creation is related to the increasing number of orders for health, nutrition, and beauty products. Workers will be responsible for operating the scanner as well as completing and preparing orders for shipment.
THG operates over 100 international websites that sell fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) direct to consumers. The company has operations in Europe, North America and in the Asia Pacific, and it globally employs over 8,000 people. The production and warehouse facility in Magnice has been operating since 2018, and it is the first investment of TGH in Continental Europe. Currently, the warehouse in Magnice employs about 1,000 people.
Previous business expansion for Poland was announced in April 2020 (250 jobs created).
