European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Ikea, a Swedish retail chain specialized in furniture and household items has announced it will be recruiting 300 additional employees in Belgium. The aim of the recruitment is to compensate for the decrease in the amount of available products by increasing the advice to its customers. The new employees will be assigned to many different tasks within the company, including the catering, logistics and the call centre. The company states that no prior experience or qualifications are required, employees will receive specific training once they start.
