European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
American pharmaceutical multinational Eli Lilly is to create 300 permanent jobs at a new manufacturing plant in Limerick. It is part of an investment of €400 million. The new plant will expand the company’s capacity to make innovative new medicines that can help treat some of the world’s most serious illnesses. The plant will be fully operational by early 2026 and the recruitment will start immediately. New roles will include engineers, scientists, and operations personnel.
Currently, Eli Lilly employs over 2,300 people at two plants in Cork.
