Description
In December 2021, Gredelj rolling stock factory came out of bankruptcy after being acquired by Slovakia's Tetravagonka, a European leader in wagon production, and now Gredelj is planning to hire 100 new workers by the end of 2022 in Zagreb. In 2022 Gredelj will deliver 756 wagons to Innofreight, an Austrian company, and will also start producing for the Slovak company Budamar, which is a co-owner of Tetravagonka and is also the largest railway carrier in Eastern Europe. An investment worth Euro 70 million will also be made to modernize the production so that the company can produce a thousand wagons and 6,000 containers per year.
