The Montpellier University Hospital (CHU de Montpellier) has announced the immediate recruitment of 130 employees on permanent employment contracts. These include 100 nursing positions and 30 nursing assistant positions.
In order to face the lack of personnel and the crisis of vocations, the CHU of Montpellier signed a collective agreement with the unions, which provides for an increase in salary scales, the creation of new posts, training and end-of-study allowances for students who undertake to work in the hospital. According to the agreement, the aim is to 'reinforce the attractiveness of the job market and motivate the professionals in post'. The CHU has to deal with a substantial volume of recruitment related to the natural turnover and to the need to consolidate teams and implement projects aimed at modernising the hospital.
The Montpellier University Hospital currently employs 12,000 people.
