European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The German company Deutsche Telekom AG, one of the world's leading telecommunications multinationals, chose Greece and the city of Thessaloniki for the installation of its new IT hub, after the withdrawal from its activities in Russia. The new IT hub has been temporarily installed at the central OTE building in Thessaloniki.
In the new IT hub 258 IT scientists from St. Petersburg have already been relocated, while by 2024, more than 500 employees are expected to work in the company. According to the company's announcement, Deutsche Telekom will recruit 100 new employees by the end of the year, another 100 in 2023 and additional 70 employees in 2024. Therefore, 270 new people will be hired by 2024.
The center will develop IT software for Germany and other countries all over the world.
