European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Irish multinational fast-fashion retailer has plans for growth in Spain and has announced the opening of a shop in San Sebastian (Basque Country) on 16 September 2022. It will be the company's 56th shop in Spain, but the first one in the region of Gipuzkoa. It will create more than 110 new jobs and will have 4,000 square metres of retail space.
Currently, Primark employs 5,300 people in Spain.
A former business expansion for Primark in Spain was recorded in the ERM database in 2021, with 650 jobs created (Primark-2021-ES).
