European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Despar Italia, a retail chain forming part of the Star International company, has announced that from 2022 it will start opening several shops in Italy (15 per year for a total of 60 until 2026), leading to the hiring of about 1600 new jobs. The investment will amount to €300 million.
The decision was made after the company reported that it recorded growth of 1.7% year-on-year. It realised investments of over €103 million and the opening of 14 shops.
Among the most sought-after profiles to work in Despar supermarkets are salespeople, cashiers, department heads, shelf-stockers, and workers in the butcher's, fruit and vegetable, fish and delicatessen departments. Managers, warehouse workers and other figures could also be among those sought.
