European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Daher Aerospace, a family-owned aviation equipment and high-tech solutions provider, has announced plans to hire 100 employees after having cut a hundred jobs during the Covid-19 crisis. Production, which fell to 42 aircraft in 2020 during the health crisis, has risen to 56 in 2022, and 65 are planned for this year, close to the record of 68 aircraft in 2008. A "job dating" event was organised in the factory at the beginning of March to recruit 100 workers, technicians and engineers. The Director opened a training centre last summer to broaden recruitment to beginners.
The group has a dozen industrial sites in France, notably in Loir-et-Cher, Sarthe, Loire-Atlantique, Haute-Garonne and Bouches-du-Rhône. The group has 10,500 employees in 2022.
Several restructuring announcements have been recorded in the ERM Database, with about 1,800 job cuts in 2020 related to the Covid-19 crisis in the transport sector (FR-Daher-2022) and recruitments in 2016, with 400 job creations (FR-Daher-2016), in 2013 with 400 job creations in its subsidiary Socata (FR-Daher-Socata-2013) and in 2008 with 350 job ceations (FR-Daher-2008).
