European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The shoe brand, André, has been partially taken over by the Belgian company Optakare, which is taking over 21 of the 49 shops and 119 of the remaining 250 employees. This takeover leads to the dismissal of 131 employees. The shoe brand André had been in receivership since February. It had already been taken over in 2020 by the company AMonde9 which declared itself in suspension of payments at the end of January 2023. At the time of the 2020 takeover, only one third of the brand's outlets had been retained, with the takeover plan providing for the redundancy of 188 employees (FR-André-2020).
