European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Lechpol is a Polish company belonging to the consumer electronic industry. Among other products, the company manufactures and sells televisions with the brand Kruger & Matz. In 2017, it decided to back-shore in Poland the assembling phase earlier realized in China. The production activity is realized through the local contract manufacturer TCL whose factory is placed in Żyrardów (Poland). Reshoring motivations were mainly of economic nature, since the company would improve its competitiveness in term of price and obtain higher margins. Currently, the company is also considering starting to produce in Poland large household appliances.
