European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Mepi Surfaces is a Portuguese company specialized in precision mechanic for luxury goods and watchmakers. The company is set to reinforce the business in Covilha, thus creating around 30 new jobs. Part of the production carried out in France and Switzerland is going to be relocated to Covilha, specifically in the industrial park in Tortosendo. The new arrangement is going to include also other relocations within the borders of Portugal. In particular, activities currently carried out in the city of Fundao by the other company of the group will be transferred to Covilha.
