Description
Česká spořitelna, Czechia's largest bank by number of clients, is planning to cut hundreds of jobs over the next nine months, as well as to create 100 new positions.
While the layoffs are intended to affect managers and staff in support and service positions, the exact number of job losses has not yet been determined. The company only states that hundreds of people will be laid off. At the same time, the bank is planning to hire 100 new employees in the field of IT and client care. The restructuring plan has been initiated due to the changing needs of customers who increasingly prefer online services. The bank therefore responds to the current needs and expectations of clients by changing the structure and number of employees.
Around 10,000 people were employed at Česká spořitelna as of June 2023.
