Following the excellent results achieved in 2023, ITA Airways announced fleet growth, which will increase by around 95 new aircraft by the end of the year. This expansion will result in the hiring of around 700 new employees. Of these, 500 will be hired on a permanent basis, divided between 90 pilots, 330 flight attendants and 55 ground staff. The remaining 200, on the other hand, will be hired on a temporary basis, relative to the summer situation and thus for seasonal employment.
These investments coincide with the company's desire to increase the number of employees to over 5,000 by the end of 2024.
