Description
Stellantis group reached a consensus with metalworkers' unions (FIM, UILM, FISMIC, and UGL), facilitating a voluntary departure program for 1,520 employees, including 733 staff from central operations, spanning middle management to office workers, and 300 from the Mirafiori bodyshops.
This move has sparked significant apprehension among union members, following a precedent where approximately 2,000 employees had departed under similar circumstances in 2023. The unions are advocating for enhanced communication between Stellantis and governmental bodies, as well as for efforts to rejuvenate the Mirafiori facility. In response, a strike and protest were organized for April 12 by the labor representatives, aiming to advocate for the plant's revitalization.
