European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The German train company Deutsche Bahn announced that it plans to create around 116 new jobs at its Hanover site.
The background to this is the expansion of one of their ICE plants. The capacity of the plant is to double and the number of trains maintained daily is to increase from three to six. The expansion will take place during ongoing operations and is expected to be completed in 2026. The number of employees will steadily increase to a total of 350 by then.
Deutsche Bahn is the largest railway company in Germany and currently employs over 210,000 people in Germany
