Description
Vion, a Dutch-based international meat processor headquartered in Boxtel, is cutting 165 jobs, primarily affecting employees in support departments such as technology and facilities at its Boxtel headquarters in the Netherlands.
Struggling financially with a €108 million loss in 2022 due to declining meat consumption in Germany and rising operational costs, Vion is undergoing a broader reorganisation, including the closure of a German facility.
This broader reorganisation plays into the 165 job cuts in the Netherlands which include 45 forced redundancies and the remainder through severance packages and natural attrition.
