Description
Obton a danish company funding the development and management of solar photovoltaic projects, is undergoing significant restructuring due to changes in the solar energy market. The company is laying off 45 out of its 350 employees and halting new investment projects.
Obton will now shift its focus from the funding to the developing and operating of solar and battery parks, particularly in Europe and Japan, aiming to become one of the top three solar energy companies in Europe within three years.
This strategic shift follows financial challenges and a loss of DKK 25.4 million in 2023 making it a very difficult year for Obton.
