European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Des Marques & Vous, a French ready-to-wear chain, was liquidated in May 2024. The Lille Métropole Commercial Court approved its partial acquisition by fashion retailers Blackstore and Chaussea, securing the jobs of 200 out of the 400 employees and preserving two-thirds of the stores.
The brand had previously entered receivership at the end of 2020, followed by a continuation plan after challenges faced due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Initially, eight potential buyers had expressed interest in acquiring the company.
The Marques & Vous brand had around 575 shops across Europe.
