Description
Metsä group is expanding and modernising their paper factory in Mariestad, which operates under the brand Metsä Tissue. The new factory emphasises increased production capacity and a more sustainable production process.
The new factory will use 50% less water in the production process, reduce emissions in the logistics process by 25%, operate with lower noise levels and produce less odour.
The expansion is starting immediately, with about 100 new employees being foreseen already in 2024. During the construction phase, the estimated number of jobs created will be about 2000 full time year equivalents.
