Description
The clothing retail company H&M is starting trade union negotiations concerning 140 of its 330 employees at a warehouse in Eskilstuna. Behind the internal restructuring is a need for organisational changes caused by an expansion of the warehouse and increased automation, according to a company representative.
The trade union negotiations will start in December 2024.
In February 2023, H&M Business Tech announced a cut of 1,500 employees in their IT-department H&M 2023 - SE. In the same year, trade union negotiations resulted in reductions of working time for 650 employees in Sweden. In October 2022, the company had announced 400 dismissals of shop employees H&M 2022 - SE.
H&M is a Swedish multinational clothing company in the sector of fast-fashion clothing for men, women, teenagers, and children. In 2023, the company employed around 101,000 people globally. In Sweden, H&M had 10,281 employees in 2023.
