Description
As announced on 17 January 2025, the German engine manufacturer Deutz, based in Cologne, plans to cut 200 jobs as part of a restructuring effort. Details of how the job cuts will be organized are not yet known.
The company aims to save 30 million euros in costs. The job cuts will primarily affect the research and development department, particularly as there are no new development projects in the combustion engine segment.
In 2024, the workforce had already been reduced by approximately 350 employees, primarily through positions left vacant after employees retired.
Deutz currently employs approximately 3,200 people worldwide.
