European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Selgros, a European cash and carry retailer owned by the Swiss holding TransGourmet is to open the first store in Sibiu (Sibiu County). The company announces its intention to hire 200 people by 23 May 2025.
The company has 4,500 people nationwide and is one of the largest employers in the sector.
At the European level, the company operates 80 stores in Germany (38), Romania (23) and Poland (19).
The Sibiu store it will be the 24th store in Romania. The first store was open in 2001 in Brasov.
