Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Burger King announced on May 16th the creation of 195 jobs in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais region. The company is planning to open new restaurants and recruit in Lille, Villeneuve-d'Ascq, Saint-André-lez-Lille, Dunkerque, Marcq-en-Barœul, and Calais. In 2025, Burger King will create 3 000 new jobs, primarily permanent contracts. In the Hauts-de-France, Burger King will recruit 48 multi-skilled team members, 31 managers, and 9 restaurant directors or assistant directors. In september, the company will also recruit 1 000 work-study students with contracts ranging between 12 and 24 months.
The latest restructuring event has been recorded in France in 2017 with the creation of 107 jobs BURGERKING2017-FR.
