Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

GAM, an Asturian company specializing in machinery refurbishments, is set to create 700 jobs in Villamañán, León, with the opening of its new facilities.
The project, called REVIVER, is based on a circular economy model that focuses on the reuse of equipment and efficiency in the use of resources, extending the useful life of machinery and reducing both the consumption of raw materials, emissions and waste. The authorities thanked the management of GAM for choosing Villamañán for this project, pointing out the social relevance of each job created in a region that ‘needs stable jobs to halt population decline’.
