Description
Feralpi Stahl, a company of the Italian Feralpi Group in the steel production sector, is creating 100 new industrial jobs with the commissioning of a new rolling mill in Riesa (Saxony) and increasing the workforce there to 950 employees. The new hires are part of an investment of over 220 million euros for the climate-friendly, electrified production of construction steel.
The new jobs are permanent and mainly relate to production and technical areas. The opening was well received by politicians, the public and trade unions. Saxony's Prime Minister and representatives of the Italian government praised the project as a contribution to the industrial upturn.
The Feralpi Group is one of Europe's leading steel producers with around 1,900 employees in seven countries and a turnover of 1.7 billion euros in 2023. Feralpi Stahl has been active at the Riesa site for over 30 years.
