Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Despar will create 115 new jobs in Emilia Romagna through three store openings in 2025. The supermarket chain is recruiting approximately 25 employees for a new Ravenna location, 50 for a Carpi store in Modena province, and 40 for a Budrio outlet near Bologna.
The positions include sales assistants, department heads, gastronomy specialists, butchers, fishmongers, and fresh produce staff. Store manager roles are available for the Ravenna and Carpi locations. Most positions require retail experience, though sales assistant roles welcome candidates without experience.
Despar operates 87 stores across Emilia Romagna and recorded over €400 million in revenue in 2024. The expansion follows significant growth, with €76 million invested last year for 17 new openings and 18 renovations, creating 465 jobs.
