Description

OpenClassroom, a French start-up which offers specialist online training, is cutting at least 50 of its 280 jobs. Due to decreasing numbers of training programmes and public financing in the educational tech sector, the company has introduced a collective termination of employment agreement. Indeed, the government's budget reform will lead to a decrease in apprenticeships financing and may require employer contributions. This follows an earlier agreement in 2023, which saw 25% of its 535 employees leave through voluntary departures. The agreement allows the employer not to provide an economic reason for job cuts.
