Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Dansk Flygtningehjælp (Danish Refugee Council), a humanitarian organization based in Denmark, has announced that it will lay off 1,300 employees globally as part of a major restructuring prompted by a significant funding crisis.
The organization lost its second-largest donor, USAID, which previously provided 20% of its budget. The layoffs will affect its sites in 21 countries worldwide, including headquarters in Denmark, Belgium, and Switzerland as well as regional offices in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Colombia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Mexico, Nigeria, Niger, South Sudan, Sudan and Yemen. The organization noticed that it would expect more termination notices in the near future.
Founded in 1956, the Danish Refugee Council operates in 28 countries and remains one of the key actors in global humanitarian assistance.
