Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

HR and payroll processing company Workday is to cut 142 jobs in Ireland as part of a global restructuring process.
The company had previously announced it would be reducing its global headcount by 8.5% (or 1,750 positions). Chief executive Carl Eschenbach said the cuts were necessary to “better align our resources with our customers' evolving needs.”
These are currently approximately 2,000 people employed by Workday in Ireland so the 142 redundancies represent a reduction of 7% of headcount in Ireland.
Workday's European EMEA headquarters are located in Dublin.
The global restructuring event has been recorded in the ERM Workday 2025 -WO
