Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Flanco, a Romanian electronics retailer, announced its intention to open 10 new stores by the end of 2025. The company will invest 20 million lei (approximately €4 million) and will hire 300 new employees.
For 2025, Flanco has planned to re-brand 12-15 stores, and its Flanco Smart Discounter network will reach 22 stores, located in 17 cities across the country.
Flanco was established in 1994 and is the first electro-IT Smart Discounter in Romania. The company has 1,451 employees, a network of 160 stores located in the most important commercial areas in 113 cities in Romania, as well as an online store.
