Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Andreas Stihl Power Tools, the Romanian subsidiary of German company Stihl International, is building a battery plant in Oradea (Bihor County), which will be operational this year. The construction of the new plant started in March 2024, and the company invested €40 million for the new plant.
The company announced that the production of batteries will start in September 2025 and by the end of 2028 the company will hire 700 persons.
The hiring process has started and among the available positions are facilities technician with expertise in electricity, capable of ensuring the operation and maintenance of factory systems, mold technician – plastic injection molding, senior buyer, purchasing lead, commodity buyer, and quality worker incoming inspection.
