Description
The Valencian hypermarket chain Family Cash is set to open a new 3,800-square-metre retail establishment in Jerez, creating approximately 100 new jobs. The project, located in the Guadalquivir Industrial Estate in the city’s southeast, will also include 424 parking spaces and a green area exceeding 1,000 square metres. The announcement follows a recent meeting between company representatives and Jerez’s mayor, María José García-Pelayo, who welcomed the initiative for its potential to stimulate employment and economic growth.
The new opening aligns with Family Cash’s expansion strategy in southern Spain, where it already operates eight centres. Founded in Xàtiva in 2013, the company has grown steadily, now boasting 44 stores across 16 provinces and employing around 3,650 people. Known for its competitively priced product range, Family Cash has been recognised by the Spanish Association of Consumers (OCU) as Spain’s most affordable supermarket chain for three consecutive years.
The Jerez City Council emphasised its ongoing support for business development and highlighted this investment as part of its broader strategy to revitalise local industrial zones
