Description

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia has issued a public call for applications to recruit 250 soldiers and sailors into active military service. Applications opened on 27 June 2025, with service scheduled to commence on 21 July 2025.

The competition is open to men and women who have completed at least secondary education, are no older than 30 years by the end of 2025, and have successfully finished voluntary military training. Former soldiers and sailors who previously left service voluntarily are also eligible to apply, provided they are younger than 40 years and meet all specified criteria.

Selected candidates will be assigned to units across Croatia, including locations such as Zagreb, Split, Zadar, Benkovac, Našice, Ploče, Pula, and other areas, according to operational needs. Before induction, applicants will undergo a selection process comprising psychological assessments, medical examinations, and background checks.

Those who complete all phases of the selection process will enter a six-month probationary period, after which they will continue their service within the Croatian Armed Forces.
