Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

The French company Ubaldi, based in Nice and specialising in retail, e-commerce, and more specifically, home equipment, has announced its exit from the safeguard procedure it had requested in June 2024.
By validating this exit, the Nice Commercial Court paved the way for a major restructuring of the group. The company, which had previously expanded into Normandy and Corsica, has decided to refocus its activities on the Côte d'Azur, resulting in the elimination of 150 jobs and a reduction in its workforce from 400 to 250.
The company currently runs 22 points of sale and generates a turnover of nearly €200 million.
